WITHOUT ME - Chapter Three
Jan. 4th, 2022 04:22 pm"After parting ways with Yuto, Reon has a chat with the Manager about Gyro. The Manager sees how passionately Reon speaks about it..."
Live House Manager: Sorry for keeping you out so late. I’m glad I could see the two of you today.
Yuto: It was nice seeing you too! Right then, I’ll be heading off this way!
Reon: Bye, Yuto.
Yuto: See ya!
Reon: …Uh, Manager. Thank you for today.
Live House Manager: Don’t mention it. Although, I feel like I should apologise.
…I shouldn’t have mentioned the old band so much.
You and Goryo both seemed uncomfortable…it was a little insensitive of me.
Reon: Oh, please don’t worry about that.
Live House Manager: Anyway, how are things with Gyro? Everything going smoothly?
Reon: Well…I can’t say I’d use the word “smoothly” to describe how things have been going.
To be honest, I don’t really get along with our vocalist and there’s a lot of trouble within the band.
But despite all that, I have no doubt that Gyro is a band that will reach the top of the world.
Live House Manager: Wow…I’m a little surprised. It sounds like you like Gyro a lot then.
Reon: Well…I like Gyro’s “music”.
Live House Manager: You have a lot of faith in that vocalist, don’t you?
Reon: …Huh? What makes you say that?
Live House Manager: I don’t think you’d feel that way if you didn’t have faith in your band mates.
Reon: Well…it may seem like that but our vocalist is absolutely impossible to deal with!
Live House Manager: Really?
Reon: Really! Someone like him is just…
Live House Manager: At the end of the day, bands and marriages are the same. They’re a shared fate. Together through thick and thin…
Reon: …A shared fate?
…Hey, Manager? How did it feel when you decided to get married?
Live House Manager: How did it feel? …That came out of nowhere. I guess I just decided on my fate and made my choice.
Reon: You decided on your fate…and made your choice.
Live House Manager: Yep. Y’know, since I’ve come all the way to Tokyo, I’d like to come and see one of Gyro’s lives too…uh, Misono?
Reon: Ohー, sorry.
Ahh, you want to come see a live? Manager, how much longer are you in Tokyo for?
Live House Manager: I still have some work to attend to here so I’m not returning to Sapporo until next week.
Reon: I’ll save you a seat then. Please come if you can.
⋆ ⋆ ⋆
Reon: …So that’s why I’d like to invite the Manager.
Kenta: That should be fine. I’ll have a seat prepared for him.
Reon: Thank you.
Kenta: That reminds me, how have your preparations for the interview been going? It seems like you’ve been having some trouble…
Reon: …
Hey, Kenta-san? What do you think of the idea of bands being a “‘shared fate”?
